About Me

Grab your coat, and get your hat
Leave your worry on the doorstep
Just direct your feet
To the sunny side of the street from Dorothy Fields

“From the Kaiserstuhl region to Aargau, and from there out into the world: Since I was 18, my curiosity has never left me. But my passion for travel has many facets.

There’s the deep love for Italy that has accompanied me for decades. For me, Italy is not just a travel destination, but a feeling. Whether it’s elegant Lombardy, indulgent Piedmont, the expansive Emilia-Romagna, or mystical Umbria – I’m fascinated by cities that nestle their ancient traditions in magnificent landscapes. From the rolling hills of Tuscany to the historical treasures of Lazio: I love strolling through alleyways where history comes alive.”

But 2010 brought a turning point: A business trip to the western United States opened my eyes to a completely different dimension of vastness. The Grand Canyon and the dusty history of Tombstone awakened a longing for wilderness and freedom that still draws me across the Atlantic every year.

And today? Today I find the best of both worlds right on my doorstep. Inspired by my sister-in-law from Poland, I’ve been rediscovering the Swiss Alps for the past five years. Between red canyons and Italian piazzas, I’ve learned: The world is too big to stay in just one place – and I’m far from finished exploring.
